The latest Singstar disc may be the greatest. Hammer. Sir Mix-a-lot. Paula Abdul. The Spin Doctors. Chumbawumba. This collection works as being simply the greatest party disc the series has launched.

There has been a mild improvement over previous volumes (as many will note: the tech hasn't changed at all on these discs- just the songs) as the rap meter (which is much more prevelant on this edition) works much cleaner. I don't know if this was a conscious effort since this volume was so rap-centric or if it was simply timing, but the rap meter which seemed faulty on a previous volume's Fresh Prince track appears to be fixed. 

Singstar, as with Guitar Hero and Rock Band, continues the trend of innovative party games. If only it was more fun to play by yourself, too.
