The Unseen at The Brickhouse
04/22/2008 Phoenix, AZ 04/02/08 I've always been one to say that you can judge how good a show was by how many bruises and scratches you have when you go home. After this show I have to revise that a bit and add that you know it was good when you've been injured and covered in silly string and confetti all at the same time. After all of that, I'd also have to add that I ended up with a 200 pound guy falling on my head at one point and having me help him up once it was decided that he was still alive and nearly covered in his blood from the fall. So, if you ask me, it was one hell of a night. Over the years I've lost count of how many times I've seen The Unseen play and I can honestly tell you that it gets better every time. They're one of those bands that I've been following for years since the days when no one knew who the hell they were and they've always been awesome. If there is any punk band out there deserving of the popularity and widespread hubbub, it's definitely these guys. Their show is always energetic, interactive, loud, fast and has more musicians catching air on stage than you can shake a stick at. Still out on tour in support of their latest, Internal Salvation, the Unseen boys certainly show no signs of slowing down, and let's hope it stays that way. So, go pick up the album if you haven't yet and catch them when they come back to The States, because if they're still sitting on your "To See" list, you've been fucking missing out.
